  • What is iRoutes

iRoutes Solutions is an easy-to-use cloud-based (web-based) software system that is provided as a service subscription. We host the software application on a secure server, and license the software to you. You do not have to download or install any software programs or files. You can access your account from anywhere, at anytime, using any web browser and an internet connection.

  • Do I need to sign a long term contract for the service?

No. iRoutes is purchased as an annual subscription.

  • Will CalRecycle approve our iRoutes purchase request?

CalRecycle staff viewed the iRoutes Solutions System in September 2011 and approved the sole-source purchase of a nine-unit system for the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps shortly thereafter.

  • Who designed iRoutes?

iRoutes was developed as a joint project between Sustainability for All and the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps. Sustainability for All is a "research and development" organization designed to strengthen and advance the conservation corps movement through innovation, collaboration and information sharing. Operated by several conservation corps veterans, SfA hopes to inspire collaborative learning and distributed action to achieve a prosperous and sustainable conservation corps movement.

  • Why should we trust you?

The creators of iRoutes have hands on operational experience managing conservation corps recycling programs. We understand your world and we are committed to making it better. Part of Sustainability for All's mission is to strengthen the conservation corps movement. We have been doing this since our inception in 2008 and we will continue to do this long into the future.

  • Why did you make it?

Corps are being asked to do more recycling with less funding. Limited resources mean production increases can best be made by increasing efficiency and effectiveness. Having run conservation corps recycling programs in the past, we know first hand the challenges that staff and corpsmembers have with operating a recycling program. Based on our experience, we designed iRoutes with multi-function capabilities using leading-edge technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of conservation corps recycling programs. iRoutes allows corps to harness the power of data and information management to increase production, safety, environmental savings, risk management and earned income.

  • What happens if someone steals or damages an iPad?

Sustainability for All upon request can arrange for a special insurance policy just in case an iPad is stolen or damaged. There is a nominal extra fee for iPad insurance. Replacement iPads can be delivered to you within two weeks.

  • Can I try iRoutes out without purchasing it?

Yes! We want you to understand the system and know how powerful the system is before you purchase it. Please see the Get iRoutes section or contact us for more information.

  • iRoutes is the bomb! Does Sustainability for All offer any type of similar applications for corps?

Funny you should ask. SfA is currently developing several other applications that will improve that efficiency and effectiveness of conservation corps. Here is a sampling of what's on tap:

    • iProjects – Project contract database and tracking system
    • iSafety – Electronic safety reports, accident reports
    • iMaintenance – Electronic vehicle pre-trip inspection forms that feed into your vehicle maintenance fleet database.
  • We don't use any Apple computers or Apple platform. Will iRoutes and the iPad field hardware work with our system?

iRoutes is a web-based program and can operate on any computer regardless of its platform.
